One of the more populous cities in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sunnyvale is a quiet suburb rich with opportunity. Early Spanish explorers named the area “Rancho Pastoria de las Borregas” or Lamb’s Pasture, by virtue of the low rolling hills making up now Sunnyvale and Mountain View. A trendy destination for an afternoon latte or late-night drink, Historic Murphy street is named after Martin Murphy Jr., the man who planted the first orchard in what would become Silicon Valley.
Being another town surrounded by high-profile employers, Sunnyvale offers a harmony between suburban life and the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley. The city has great access to Caltrain, Highway 101, 280 and 85.
